How to Use Job Tags on Jobing.com

Advanced Jobing.com

On the Jobing.com platform, we use a tagging system to help categorize and sort job postings.

What are Tags?

Tags are simple keywords that help provide context to our job postings. Job seekers can use tags to search for related jobs and navigate through our postings. In other words, job seekers can review jobs that are grouped under specific tag to find more relevant jobs.

This also means that job tags help employers like you. When you use tags on your Jobing.com job postings, you’re ensuring more relevant job seekers find your jobs. Employers can add tags to their job postings when they post them in the CRM. If you need help posting a job, click here.

How Do you Use Them?

Tags in the Recruiting.com CRM

Employers can add tags to their job postings when they post them in the CRM. If you need help posting a job, click here.

Adding tags to job postings is important because it can help more of the right people to find your postings. For best results:

  • Think about the words job seekers might use if they were searching for your job, and include a few of the most relevant words as tags on your job posting.
  • Consider variations and abbreviations (sales and selling, or registered nurse and RN).
  • Don’t overdo it (6-8 tags is plenty).
  • Include the keywords you left out of the job posting itself. For example, if you refer to salespeople by some other title (like Solution Consultants), you can sneak the word “sales” into the tags field—since that’s the most common term people will use for searching.

You can also use use tags for your employment videos on YouTube. YouTube uses tag keywords just like Jobing.com does, so you can help users easily navigate through related content. Plus, they can aid in search rankings for your videos!
